I found this skirt at my church’s flea market, which is pretty fitting being that this skirt makes me look like a nun. Or at least that’s what my mom has to say) It takes me back to my days in Catholic school. Our uniforms were oh so styling – navy blazer, white rounded collar oxford shirt, blue pleated knee-length skirt, tights, black penny-loafers and topped off with a clip-on maroon tie. I mean, come on, it doesn’t get much better than that. Although, I would have never admitted it then, my everyday school uniform in middle and high school transformed the way I wore clothing. I feel more comfortable in a shirt, skirt and tights than sweatpants and a tee-shirt any day. So this is my outfit tribute to my Kellenberg Memorial days – the first school in the country to discontinue prom 🙂
Love the boots
just wanted to say thank you for being one of the few ladies who knows how to dress up instead of just wearing the equivalent of a bathing suit via clothes (the dress less for success model so popular these days). I think its a shame that sophistication has gone by the wayside, so its nice to see there are still some women out there who know how to dress!
