A Saturday afternoon in the midst of a bustling New York Fashion Week most definitely calls for a bit of rest and relaxation, even if just for a few hours. I headed uptown to the garden at the Cooper Hewitt, National Design Museum where Cynthia Rowley was holding a luncheon celebrating her new collaboration with Band-Aid brand. The limited edition Band-Aid by Cynthia Rowley project offers twenty fresh designs and function with style. Not to mention, profits from the project will benefit Design Ignites Change, a fine organization that engages high school and college students in multidisciplinary design and architecture projects that address pressing social issues in their communities.
Prominent fashion insiders and bloggers gathered around round tables in the charming garden to discuss the fun collaboration and to take a load off from the madness that NYFW brings. The Band Aids by Cynthia Rowley are now available at Cynthia Rowley Stores and the Shop at Cooper-Hewitt at $9.99 for twenty Band-aids. I’ll find any excuse to sporting mine whether I have a scrape or not. Find out more about the project at www.cynthiarowley.com.
