Spanish giant Custo Barcelona moved their Spring/Summer 2010 show from the Promenade at Bryant Park to the Tents, due to popular demand. The Custo business is alive, well and thriving. Custo Dalmau stated that “The runway is experimental for us. Where we introduce new techniques, take risks and have fun.” And based on the sketches from Mr. Dalmau’s S/S 2010 show, fun & risk-taking is what the collection is all about. From the women’s line, we can expect shine, metallics, crystal, asymmetric tops, baggy jumpsuits, and puffball dresses all inspired by the 1920s. And from the men’s line, we can expect influences stemming from Rastafarians, Alice & Wonderland, Elvis with faded colours and graduated dyes. It will be a New York Fashion Week show, not to be missed.
