The search was over as I entered the Gladstone Gallery to witness New York’s finest presentation shown for the Spring Summer 2011 season. Once I was able to get past the crowds of prestigious buyers and editors, I found myself amdist the most chic, indoor-jungle produced to rightfully commend the Halston Spring 2011 collection of incredibly, contemporary garbs made for women with only the most regal sensibilities. The women were sectioned off according to hair color and ethnicity, and therefore dressed accordingly.
The draped, chiffon gowns fell to the ground as if it were a sheer surrender to the beauty of the piece. Camel, crepe jackets with karate belts accentuated the women’s form while gold, brass bands were strewn across the foreheads of the ginger-haired models. The necklines were important players in the sensuality of this collection as they were constructed to draw attention to bare collarbones and shoulders. Two way sequins made for a strong texture for gowns that invited mystery. One thing is for sure this season at Halston, if you have the chance to wear one of the pieces, you can instantly feel like the elegant goddess that you always dreamed of being.
they are all beautiful.
