Lala Exclusive: Photo Plays 2 “Cyclical Mode” Zulema F/W 09

Designer and director Zulema Griffin understands creativity, art and fashion. Through her collections, she translates her garments into artwork and creates fashion films to accompany her collections. Everyone should take notice to this talented and hard-working designer on the rise. For Zulema’s Fall/Winter 2009 Collection, she presents us with Photo Plays 2 “Cyclical Mode”. To my pleasant surprise, the film explores fashion and musical genius, Lauryn Hill. Musical masterpiece, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” served as the backdrop for the film. Which was not only unexpected but ingenious twist on an excellent execution of a inventive tactic to showcase a collection. With a slew of political and religious references to very relevant topics in our society today, Zulema speaks not only to the fashion community but also to our ever-progressing generation.
