Out of all the presentations attended during fashion week, the Hayden-Harnett Fall/Winter 2009 presentation was the most memorable hands down.
As you enter the Chelsea hotel, where the Great-Gatsby inspired presentation takes place in a hotel room, you are transformed into a completely different and vintage dimension mystified with paperback novels, candies, goodies and models that act as an mannequins.
The models were drapped in the Hayden-Harnett F/W 2009 RTW collection which consisted of rich muted colors in silk fabrics with a very art deco reference, as many of the bags consist of.
The accessories get better every season at Hayden-Harnett. Strong construction and remarkable attention to detail with handbags, jewelry and footwear strive forward for Fall/Winter 2009. Dependable styles on the H-H boot and the cutest leather studded cuff bracelets that Kate Lanphear would most definitely approve of.
I got to ask David Thielebeule, the Senior Accessories Editor at Harper’s Bazaar what he thought about the Hayden-Harnett Fall/Winter 2009 Collection.
David Thielebeule – It was really special and a really cool presentation. I love the chelsea hotel, I love coming here, so its always fun.
Lala Lopez – Have you’ve seen anything like this during fashion week?
David Thielebeule – Ohh definitely, I think that it is personal. It’s like your cool friend is a apart of it, you know what i mean. After this week, I want to do exactly that. All weekend long, just get in bed with some candy….
