The Altman Building was the arena for the first offsite fashion show of New York Fashion Week on Thursday, February 12th. Men’s and women’s wear designer hit the ground running with his fall/winter 2009 collection show which was styled by Nole Marin. The models walked to upbeat, disco beats in suit with New York’s finest tailoring. Menswear lended a huge hand in this collection both for the guys and dolls. Strong wool, tweeds and flannels were the big players in the construction of the suits and outwear in the collection. The organza and satin dresses flowed whimsically down the runway. Grey, cream and charcoal dominated the Fall/Winter Diran color palette. The beautifully bald Bianca of America’s Next Top Model strutted herself towards a sea of flashing photographers snapping photos, while Anna Piaggi watched on from the front row. This season’s runway collection is available for inquiry and order currently at the brand new Loris Diran boutique at 3 East 1st Avenue at Bowery.
“We all choose a way in which are viewed by those around us and we create a kind of protective layer, allowing various levels of exposure of our true selves to show through, depending on our moods or needs. This is true in our careers, in our relationships, and is most evident in our style sense.” – Loris Diran
