Karen Walker’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection made an instant follower of her work. Karen’s S/S 2010 collection reminded me of exactly why. Her approach is always direct without frills or fuss but also thoughtful of her customer’s needs. This season, the looks were fun and practical. A parade of stripes streamed down the runway at the Altman Building. Girls would never have to worry about a little rain with Karen’s great anoraks and adorable yellow hats. The mix of patterns and prints keep things upbeat for a spring to remember.
