It was not a long time ago that Santa Cruz native, Julian Louie headed to New York City to study architecture at Cooper Union. He quickly realized that his true passion was in marrying the art of fashion and the beauty of architecture. Just three years ago, Louie was an intern at Imitation of Christ, later to knab a job at Calvin Klein. Francisco Costa knew that he was destined to design and nominated him for the Australian Merino Wool-back Protege Project. His Spring/Summer 2009 collection was full of perfect color-choices, embellishments, beautiful proportions and shapes. To Die For. Julian Louie will be the designer that will take this industry by storm.
