Lala NYC Trend Report: Grey Hair

Frustration rummaged it’s way into my reality during fashion month. Mostly because in such trying times, I hoped that designers would create something more than what spectators were expecting to see. Although, there were some shows that remained to wow me and millions of others. Intrigue settled in when clocking bookmarked style blogs that were covering the fashion packs attending the shows. Style was as fresh as ever and exciting to see and be a part of. One of the most promising and super-fun trends that was seen outside and inside the shows was the many hues of grey hair. Long gone are the days that grey hair is associated with older women, because right now it get more youthful and vivacious than grey hair. For Dansk’s Fall/Winter 2009 issue, they featured a spread gabbing about all the grey hair goods to come for this season. Gareth Pugh debuted his fantastic Spring/Summer 2010 collection with a majority of grey pieces and grey hair to match. Models Kristen McMenamy and Pixie Geldof have been spotted rocking some pewter locks along with Dazed & Confused’s Fashion Editor, Katie Shillingford. Grey-hued strands are hot, current and the perfect representation of the direction that fashion is headed.
