The massive amounts of snow fall may have delayed my day a bit but definitely didn’t stop me from hitting the first unofficial day of fashion week in New York. Although the snow flurries killed my hair, I had the pleasure of bumping into Lani and Erin of Sugar Rock Catwalk and Deanne and Tamara of Dream Sequins. First stop was Geren Ford, who had great brushed silk tops, trousers, lush greens and hardware ankle boots. Next, would be the presentation for Yuna Yang. I was pleasantly surprised to see a great deal of colors unexpected for fall that blended perfectly. My favorite piece from the collection was a sheer purple silk chiffon dress with tiered layers of french lace. I’m looking forward to seeing more from Yuna. Then, it was off to Gen-Art, where Gar-de, Nomia, Sophomore and Wesfeld showed simultaneously at Drive In Studios. A perfect way to kick off New York Fashion Week.
