In my crazy world, there is always something that sparks my interest & will lead me to be stuck on that subject matter for quite some time. Recently, it has been wardrobe in independent and foreign films. I came across a truly endearing French film playing on Sundance called Une Vieille Maîtresse or The Last Mistress. The opening costume worn by Vellini played by Asia Argento stopped me dead in my tracks (pictured above). The costume embodied everything that Vellini was: romantic, alluring, and incredibly sad. Beyond the film being a spectacular watch, Anaïs Romand created cinematic magic through her phenomenal costume design. Stay tuned to more Reel Style….
