There aren’t many things to complain about living in Manhattan where Bright Lights, Yellow Cabs, and Crowded Streets are a Way of Life. ALTHOUGH, I do have to say these damn taxi cabs and their drivers have me fed up. This is my official rant against the New York City Taxi drivers. Since the installation of the television monitors equipped with credit card capabilities these cab drivers have been on some funny business, and I am not having it. Now, I am not one to pick arguments, but there have been countless times that a cab driver and I have had disagreements simply because they do not want passengers to use their credit cards being that they lose $1 in the transaction. Listen cabbies, I hear you, nobody wants to lose money, but how about we make a deal I’ll give you an extra dollar in tip, if you really want to cry about it. On top of the bitterness felt from drivers, are they really slowing down on lights that they definitely could have made? Is that how we are rocking out now?! It’s bad enough that it costs me $7 from 42nd Street to 34th Street, but now we’re dodging lights? Come on cabbies, we wanna make this work, don’t be jerks. Let’s drive how we are supposed to, let’s allow passengers to pay however way they please, let’s not overcharge us, and lastly let’s not start the meter before I set my four inch heels in your car. Thanks!
