Lower East Side native, Rembrandt Duran, is a staple in Downtown, off-the-cuff, youth culture – giving style inspiration to peers and tastemakers alike. This week he debuted his Saturday collection from his emerging accessory label Adeen. Starting off his first collection of pins and hats in plush and acrylic, he has segued into a full range acrylic collection of accessories for those that dare to wear their sense of humor on their wrists, or their fingers, for that matter. For this season, Duran teamed up with young, up and coming photographer David Urbanke and inimitable model Shaun Ross for Saturday lookbook, which takes a spin on the designer’s favorite Saturday morning cartoons. Geometric and kitschy, the pieces are a perfect find for stand-out updates to everyday wardrobes.
It’s as if every season released under the Adeen label, the more mature and focused the product gets. Much like the personality of the designer, Adeen is spirited, animated and puts the fun back in accessible accessory design. With past collaborations with CHRISHABANA, press placements in Vice Magazine and stockists in New York and Tokyo, the Saturday collection from Adeen is sure to give you “that Saturday morning cartoon feeling.”
