Jurgens Oeltjenbruns is a menswear mastermind. His Fall/Winter 2009 show at Cooper Classics in the West Village hit this Fashion Week with a bang. The venue was white, raw and rustic, complementing and contrasting the strong pieces. Every man needs to be dressed in Oeltjenbruns at all times for some seriously dynamic wardrobing.

Multiple hues of grey flowed down the runway for an effortless man-chic look. Jurgen’s concept of “cold weather uniforms” influenced his bombers, hooded vests and gusset pants. The sudden emergence of a strong bottle green color on the heavenly looking male models had all in attendance on the edge of their pretty white seats.

The checkerboard prints added an edgy twist to the collection. Oeltjenbruns has a knack for manipulating generally traditional fabrics used for tailoring and translating his techniques into top quality sportswear. The pants, which at first glance seemed like sweatpants, were made of the most luxurious and unexpected fabrics with perfect execution.

The pinnacle of the show was the single rust-colored look that emerged onto the runway, without any other similiar pieces to follow. Pure brilliance. If this is the first time, you’ve heard of mega label, Oeltjenbruns, it surely will not be the last. Log onto oeltjenbrunsinc.com for more information.
