Soho-based designer Laura Poretzky of Abaete is known synonymously for her classic, ladylike, and timeless designs. Laura proved that very good things can happen on Friday the 13th, the day she showed her Fall/Winter 2009 collection at the Altman Building. 
The collection was dark, romantic, and flawless. Blacks, greys and whites came out to play with layered chain-details at the waist.
Givenchy-inspired fold-over booties adorned with layered chains strutted down the runway. Models rocked a bouffant look atop the crown of their heads.
There was simply not one look that came down the white runway, that was not Lala NYC approved. Abaete has the secret to make women look more feminine, more well put together than she could have ever imagined herself to look.
