BFC’s London Showrooms in New York Part I

My favorite things in the world are born out of London, it goes without saying that designers fall into that category as well. The British Fashion Council brought the finest London designers to New York a few weeks ago for the London Showrooms. The Autumn/Winter 2010 previews were held in the penthouse of the Soho Grand Hotel. Needless to say, I was quite smitten with well, everything.

Atalanta Weller Autumn/Winter 2010

The footwear of Atalanta Weller is both functional and experimental. With pumps, boots and wedges crafted with sharpest of design, shoes become the focal point of your look. Then saving the best for last, there are the foot-high wedges of epic proportion that are simply a work of art. www.atalantaweller.com

Eun Jeong Autumn/Winter 2010

Eun Jeong’s collection was a delight to see, consisting of egg-shaped jacket show pieces with incredible components. From lace to crystal to hand ruffling, the colors and elements showed the designer’s range of concept and skill. www.eunjeong.co.uk

Fannie Schiavoni Autumn/Winter 2010

Fannie was quite a darling with a calm spirit that perfectly complimented her mesh-chain line of accessories and jewelry. Eccentric accessories spanning from necklaces to Mongolian fur caplets to body jewelry, Fannie’s pieces are every stylist’s dream to incorporate into an editorial. www.fannieschiavoni.com

Holly Fulton Autumn/Winter 2010

What isn’t there to say about Holly Fulton. The designer sponsored by Swarovski, incorporated the sparkling crystals into graphic print shift dresses, fur clutches, bib necklaces and bangles. There’s much color and vitality in Holly’s design that bring her clothes to life. www.hollyfulton.com
