I’m not exactly sure what is making me want loads and loads of fall clothing. It could have something to do with my boredom of this hot, fickle, summer weather or it could be the endless chatter about fashion week. Nonetheless, while there’s still time, I’m picking styles/moods from my favorite Fall ’10 collections to create some sort of organization in my head of the things I’d love to dress in this coming season. One of those Fall ’10 collections would without a doubt be from Carin Wester.

I’m always intrigued by the defiance of norms, whether it be social or idealistic. When it comes to seasonal dressing, masses are usually drawn to accepted color schemes, textures and details. Carin extinguishes these conservative ideas with this collection. She plays with fun, warm hues that have a delicately shocking value. Then works with individual surfaces like viscose, mohair, and suede gabardine for each of her pieces. I’m very much drawn to the idea of wearing light tones with strong textures. See Carin’s pieces from her “Beeping Sleauty” collection in action in the video below and learn more on www.carinwester.com.
