Freedom for Topshop sells one piece of jewelry in the 325 Topshop UK stores they are stocked in, every single second. With that much influence, it would only make sense that they team up with a powerhouse designer to create a momentous collection. This season, the Danielle Scutt for Topshop collection, was released featuring pieces that explore themes of surrealism, luxury and feminism. The playful offering has memorable pieces adorned with lipstick charms and chains woven with synthetic hair. “In times of economic crisis, the two ‘luxury’ items which flourish in the womens sector are lipstick and jewellery,” says Scutt. The first tier of the collection debuted on the runway of Scutt’s Autumn/Winter 2011 show during London Fashion Week. The second tier of this collaboration, that makes fantasy accessible, will be released in select Topshop retail locations this May.

I got a sneak peek of the collection, during my trip to London in February. If you can get past the enthusiastic smile, I’m wearing the Woven Hair Multirow Necklace – which retails for $85. The entire Danielle Scutt for Topshop show collection is now available on the Topshop website and in Topshop stores. Click here to shop the collection online.
