New Zealand born designer Karen Walker has come a long way since her first fashion show in 1998. This Spring 2009 collection has me super excited for the coming season. If you could describe Walker’s collection in one word, it would be MENSWEAR. Oh Karen, how talented are you? From tailored shorts, work shirts, blazers, and chinos, she has yanked all menswear basics from under every menswear designer’s pretty pedicured feet and claimed it to be hers. She coupled floral prints, dominant heels, and dazzling tones of blue with tailored garments, bringing together a look that is sexy, carefree, and would make any fashionista proud to be a woman. Ms. Walker has nailed it!
