Lala NYC NYFW Coverage: Cynthia Rowley S/S 2010

Since her incorporation in 1988, Cynthia Rowley just seems to get evolve and progress every season. As if her exceptional embellishments in her Fall 2009 collection, Cynthia took her garments in new direction with a flawless use of unfocused prints that translated into strokes of watercolor on belted knee-length dresses. Retro-styled hair complimented the vintage-inspired eyewear that was a strong attribute to the show. Strong hues of plum ruled Cynthia’s runway with pieces ranging from slashed pants, peplum tops and shirt dresses. It was the subtlies of her detail that encaptured guests. The smart reinvention of the short that was not only pragmatic but stylish and comfortable. Not to mention, watching Rose Cordero, Tao Okamoto and Ranya Mordanova walk all in the same show was most definitely a treat.
