One thing is for sure about my trip to Paris. I found the best deals ever. Innately, I always find myself gravitating towards the most outrageous bargains & steals. But the best part of Paris bargain hunting is HAGGLING. You say €15, I say €9. You say €11, I say done. It’s magical. But the real magic happens at the flea markets or puces. The flea market I would suggest to anyone willing to get down and dirty to find some hidden treasures is Marché aux Puces de Montreuil. This place is out of this world. My friend Angela at Mail Movement suggested the flea to us & mentioned that this is most definitely an arena for inspiration. With hundreds and hundreds of independent stands, you can find designer pieces starting at €1. At Marché aux Puces de Montreuil, my best finds were an aray of vintage turbans starting at €1 & a vintage Eres bodysuit for €5 along with vintage sunglasses, tops & barrettes. Then we headed to Marche aux Puces St-Ouen de Clignancourt, where I found the most magnificent Celine jacket for €80, that is very reminiscent of the F/W 09 Balmain jackets. (I haggled the price from €100) I’ll be debuting the jacket during NYFW 🙂
