Previously branded as Boudoir D’Huitres, now released her Fall/Winter 2011 under the new name of Mimi Plange. Mimi was one of my first interviews on Lala New York City. It’s been beyond enriching to watch her evolve into one of those new designers in New York to keep an eye on. With the support of Andre Leon Talley this season, she presented a full collection of red-carpet ready pieces that exude a strong sense of opulence and direction. With stints at Rachel Roy and a background in architecture, Mimi sculpts the proper answer to wearable luxury. Her strengths like in gowns and outerwear. The stand out piece was the mohair and leather trimmed cape with sharp lines along the shoulder. Check out her ALT review on Vogue.com, here. And follow Mimi’s happenings on Twitter, here.
