NYFW Coverage: Haleh Nematzadeh S/S 2010

Haleh Nematzadeh couldn’t have scouted a better venue for her rock and roll-inspired Spring/Summer 2010 fashion show than the Morrison Hotel on Bowery, where CBGB formerly punk rocked out strong. Haleh has been making big waves since she broke out her last fall collection of crosshatched leather, fringe and metal smiley-faced frocks. She has been featured in Vogue Italia and covered WWD a few weeks back. She is one indie designer to keep a close eye on. Lydia Hearst opened her S/S 2010 show with a bang. There were sky high heels, two-toned ensembles, leather, gold fringe, studded details and everything a rock and roll princess could ever wish for in a wardrobe. Some looks were styled with flat booties and shoes, giving a flat foot a feminine and chic touch. Not to mention, the over-accentuated bold shoulder that had guests gasping for air. Check out Haleh’s website at www.halehnematzadeh.com to keep up with all things rock & glamour and here for my interview with Haleh on her F/W 2009 collection and here for a Lala NYC editorial featuring Haleh’s pieces.
