I recently found a mint-condition a late 80’s Sonia Rykiel jacket perusing through thrift shops. This deep plum, structured jacket not only is a great piece to add to my closet, but leads me to our Parisian diva, Sonia, today in 2008. This spring season we see a lot of yellow color trends but not a lot of designers that executed this trend properly. But by God I think Sonia’s got it! She’s toned down the predictable mega-watt yellow and has turned to warmer yellows with warm browns to acessorize and accentuate. Ms. Rykiel’s yellow pieces in her Spring ’08 collection are inviting and earthy rather than loud and trashy.
