The Tokyo Dream: Reese Antoinette

Whether we decide to chase them or not, we all have dreams for ourselves. When I was a young girl, I wanted to be a prima ballerina/award-winning chick-lit author. Needless to say, since then things have changed quite a bit. For singer/songwriter Reese Antoinette, childhood dreams are emerging into fruition. After years of toiling through castings for commercial acting and modeling in the epicenter of entertainment, this multi-talented New Yorker is packing up and headed to Tokyo to pursue her passion of music. She has strong frame of reference with previous stints at Sony BMG, and Universal, also having been featured by Teen Vogue, Honey and Covergirl. With a colorful vision and fresh perspective on music, image and creativity, Tokyo will be the perfect fit for a budding music career. The fantasy will come full circle, let’s stay tuned.

Reese and I worked on her promo shoot recently at the Cloisters. We tapped into the idea of being lost in the fantasy of an enchanted forest, a little twist on Alice in Wonderland. Jahse shot with a beautiful Deardorff camera. Clothing Credits: Look One – Reconstructed Dress, Vintage. Grey Tights, American Apparel. Thigh High Boots, Steven. Look Two – Draped Dress, Rachel Rachel Roy. Shoes, Steven.
