In September 2009, Malaysian designer Zang Toi will be celebrating his 20th year in the fashion industry. Wisdom, experience and perfected technique shined through his fall 2009 collection that was presented on February 13th on 57th Street. Toi posed fashionably with guests and models in a black tee paired with a mid-thigh skirt, black opaque tights and lace-up oxfords. His designs were intricate, well-worked and detailed. Lots of tulle, pearls and the perfect mix of black and white were put into his gowns, that are only fit for women of a high social standing. Zang Toi’s fall collection seems to have jumped out a fairy tale book and puts the fantasy back into fashion, which we most definitely are missing today.
