In a time when fashion collaborations have proved to be a model that intrigues consumers, design teamwork still reigns king. Yet, there are few collaboarative projects that offer more than excitement for the masses that aspire to luxury purchases. On February 23rd, I made my way to the presentation at Claridges Hotel in London to view the Bally and Central Saint Martins Men’s Collection of footwear. The four styles surpassed any expectations of that just another collaboration feeling.

The partnership between the two fashion forces began with the hand selection of MA Fashion CSM student Craig Green. Green had the opportunity to work closely with Bally’s creative directors Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler and visit the factories in Switzerland. MA Course Director, Professor Louise Wilson, shared that “the on-going collaboration with Bally and their support of young creative talent has enriched the participating students’ knowledge of the industry.” Valuing the magnitude of young talent at Central Saint Martins has allowed for Craig Green to craft a stunning collection of men’s footwear offerings in felt, suede, canvas and calf combinations.
