I’ve taken a backseat on my styling work this year, but every now and again, there’s a really great brand that comes along that I can’t resist working with. Lo & Sons is one of those brands. Derek Lo told me his story of his family run business based in New York that sells their range of travel bags and accessories strictly on their website. I thought that was so rad – a brand on the rise that has straddled the world of e-commerce and has built a solvent business in the digital space.
More recently, Derek & his brother Jan wanted to solve a widespread issue that comes up for the style conscious photographer: where the hell can I get an attractive camera bag that offers both utility and style? The Lo bros came up with these two great styles of leather camera bags that are simple, chic and give you all the compartments needed for your camera, your lens, memory cards and any extra batteries. It was a blast to work with my friend Julia on the look book in the West Village for the limited edition camera bags that we hope to see all through out fashion week and on the streets, too.
