I’ve been following jewelry designer Vanessa Mooney ever since I pulled some exquisite pieces of hers for a shoot from Accessory Artists in 2011. I love the style that is uniquely Mooney’s – from amulets hanging from femininely thin chains, to zen-centric beads, hand-chains and chokers.

She just released some images from her latest lookbook photographed by Janell Shirtcliff, with the pieces already available for purchase on her e-comm site, which is great. Because really? – who wants to drool over pieces from a great lookbook, only to find out that you have to wait five to six months till it comes out. You gotta give the people what they want! Instant gratification and kick-ass jewelry.

The Vanessa Mooney Illuminations collection takes her label further into the realm of beautiful gypsy boheme with hand cuffs, light and subtle body chains, plated chokers.  I could wear all of these pieces – which is hard to say for most jewelry collections. But the range and balance of Mooney’s subtle  and statement pieces is just right – making it super easy to layer and build up more bold looks with just a few pieces or pair down with just one or two necklaces.

I enjoyed the model they used for this lookbook – her makeup fits the theme of the shoot so well – she looks refreshed, light and dewy. The images are super dreamy and leave me feeling like a moonlight goddess lost in the desert and I’m really feeling that vibe.
