Shine Bright, Baby

Lala Lopez
You, yes you, little darling are a star. In fact, we all are. We are all here to listen to our calling and reach for the cosmos. Yet, it is all too common when our self-confidence (or lack thereof) can get in the way of that. Well, at least that was the case for me, for what seemed like forever.

There was this long and winding period of time where my confidence was just shot. I didn’t know where I was headed in life but I knew that there was a spark within me – I just didn’t have enough courage to let it shine. I noticed that when I most myself, the most authentically expressed in any given situation, I wasn’t always so well received. And it bothered me because deep down I really gave a shit about people thought of me.

Yet, after many trips, falls and wonderful teachers in this road called life, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that our strength and power lies in our vulnerability and how willing we are to be our true, authentic selves. So not only did it not matter what others thought of me but how could I ever fault myself for being me – even if others felt uncomfortable by it.

If this is something you’ve experienced too, it’s just a testament to how strong, brave and shining you are. Not everyone can handle the glare of your light but that doesn’t mean you have to play small and dim it down. It’s incredible how the universe rewards you for being in your truth. Not to mention how much the people around you will benefit from your mega-wattage. Stand firm and be unapologetically you with no interruptions. Shine bright, baby because you’re a star.

I hope you liked this post, if you did please share it with your girlfriends! I’ll be posting much more on self-love, consciousness and living in your truth, like this post on following your own path, so I hope you’ll follow along!
